Heather and I went snorkeling again this morning, and this time I got brave enough to use the waterproof iPhone bag I brought to snap some photos of fish and sea turtles. (Nāpili, HI)
But the best part of the Maui Gold tour was, of course, the tasting. These were much sweeter than pineapples we can buy back home. (Plus check out that knife!) (Haliimaile, HI)
We toured the Maui Gold pineapple farm this morning, and it was really interesting. It’s a very different kind of operation than the row crops we grow in Indiana. ? (Haliimaile, HI)

We took it easy yesterday after my snorkeling mishap the day before, and just soaked in the pool. Today I felt well enough to go snorkeling again. Swam with lots of sea turtles, and watched the fish swim in the coral. Now off to lunch! (Nāpili, HI)
This evening Heather and I went to a luau. (You can’t go to Hawaii and not see a luau!) The food was surprisingly good considering how many were served, and the show was a lot of fun—part variety show and part history lesson. And there was fire dancing! ? (Kaanapali Landing, HI)
