France and Ireland 2026
Posts from the trip to France and Ireland that I took in 2026 with Mom, Aunt Kay, Aunt Colette, Cousin Dan, and Cousin Pat. This was a “genealogy tour”. We visited the grave of my great aunt, Sister Margaret, who went to France at age 16 to become a nun, and then traveled to Ireland to visit some of the places where our ancestors were born.

Yesterday, we started with a guided tour of the Louvre, with our cousins Dan and Pat joining Mom, Aunt Kay, Aunt Colette, and me. We actually missed our tour group, but we managed to catch up and enjoy the tour. #travel #Paris

After Sainte-Chapelle, we took a hop-on hop-off bus tour to see other sights, including the Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower. We were exhausted by that point (after getting a few hours of sleep on the flight over) but our group managed to stay awake for most of it. 😂 #travel #Paris

It’s been two busy days in Paris. After dropping our bags at the hotel, we walked to the cathedral of Notre Dame where we had pre-booked entry tickets. This is the first time I’ve seen it since the restoration and reconstruction. What a difference! #travel #Paris
