We took it easy yesterday after my snorkeling mishap the day before, and just soaked in the pool. Today I felt well enough to go snorkeling again. Swam with lots of sea turtles, and watched the fish swim in the coral. Now off to lunch! (Nāpili, HI)

This evening Heather and I went to a luau. (You can’t go to Hawaii and not see a luau!) The food was surprisingly good considering how many were served, and the show was a lot of fun—part variety show and part history lesson. And there was fire dancing! ? (Kaanapali Landing, HI)

The bad news about snorkeling is I got caught by a wave as I entered the water and got body slammed into a boulder. My back got scraped up pretty good, and my back and side are swollen. Pretty sure it’s going to bruise by tomorrow. But it’s nothing a little Advil can’t help.

After lunch, we snorkeled in Honokeana Bay. This was a great spot. It’s swarming with green sea turtles, and there is plenty of coral and fish to look at. (Nāpili, HI)

Fun day on Maui today. This morning we went to Napili Beach and I body surfed until lunch while Heather soaked in the sun on shore. The waves here are fantastic! And no scrapes (from this at least). (Honokahua, HI)

@manton I understand why Micro.Blog doesn’t offer retweets, but would there ever be room for a “like” feature? I’d love to be able to indicate appreciation for posts that I really like (aka pictures of dogs) even when I don’t have a substantive comment that’s worth a reply.
