If you ever find yourself on US-35 north of Charleston do yourself a favor and stop at Tammy’s Country Kitchen in Fraziers Bottom, WV. We discovered Tammy’s a few years ago and now we stop every year for lunch. Great home cooking, especially the chicken and dumplings. (Fraziers Bottom, WV)  
After lunch, we continued uphill, into the Alfama neighborhood to visit the a castle of São Jorge. The view wasn’t as spectacular as I had hoped due to the rain, but it’s still a great view of the Lisbon skyline.




We’re back in Lisbon! And it’s raining! After checking into our hotel we headed uphill to the Mouraria neighborhood (the “place of the Moors”) which we were introduced to on our food tour and got lunch at Tasquinho Canto do Fado, a small hole in the wall known for its Fado music.
