Updates on my mom’s move from a flip phone to an iPhone:
1. Two weeks in, her biggest problems are the lag from running iOS 13 on an iPhone SE, and buttons that don’t look like buttons.
2. Her only app request is an app that will send her an alert when President Trump resigns. ?
I baked two loaves of bread and traded one of them for an Apple wireless keyboard – with scissor switches no less. Score! ?

@manton Feature request for the iOS Micro.Blog client: When I post to my WordPress-based microblog with an attached image, if I close the app before the post is completed, then the post is aborted. Could the app be made to post in the background after closing (like Tweetbot)?
Dough is mixed, kneaded, risen, and shaped. Next step: Into the refrigerator for an overnight nap.

This New York Times article should have been titled “Time Zone Edge Cases: This is why programmers drink.” https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/02/us/daylight-saving-time-doughnut.html

PSA: I received a rather convincing phishing attempt claiming to be from Linode today. I sniffed out the con, but still called Linode support to check. Apparently the phishers cast a wide net, because I was told Linode support has been dealing with this all day. Be careful.

My sourdough starter more than doubled (from the top of the tape mark) in about 12 hours, so I’m declaring this new starter as “ready to bake with.” Maybe I’ll try to mix something up this afternoon.
