This is a catchall category for general goings-on at the lake.

We’ve had warmer Spring-like weather the last week or so, and the ice is melting at a rapid clip. At this rate, I expect all the ice to be melted by next weekend. But nighttime temperatures are still dipping below freezing, so I’m taking full advantage and having a fire this morning. Maybe the last one of the season. #lakelife

The fishermen say that the ice is 12 inches thick right now. A warming trend is expected later this week, so this is probably peak ice for this winter. Even with above freezing temps on the way, the ice should stay thick enough to fish on for quite a while yet. #lakelife

We had a beautiful day at the lake today, and had what was possibly the last boat ride of the year. (The boat gets taken out on Wednesday.) the trees are starting to turn, and it’s warm (enough) in the sun. I’ll take it! #lakelife

Yesterday’s sunset was a beautiful one. It’s starting to get chilly, though. It was still warm enough to sit on the deck as long as you were in the sun, but I had to head indoors once the Sun dipped behind the trees. #lakelife
