Today I paid someone $300 to change 8 characters of code, and I was happy to do it because he knew which 8 characters to change and I didn’t. What took him 4 hours to diagnose and fix would have taken me four days. That’s close enough to a win for me.
In 2020, I paid Stripe 3.33% of gross revenue for receiving online payments. Let me tell you: Taking 3.33% off the top is a whole lot less painful than the 15% or even 30% I was paying before. ?
TIL that Stripe does the reasonable thing and reports payments on Form 1099-K based on calendar years, rather than fiscal years as Apple does. For the first time ever, I’m able to actually verify my 1099-K!
