PSA: I received a rather convincing phishing attempt claiming to be from Linode today. I sniffed out the con, but still called Linode support to check. Apparently the phishers cast a wide net, because I was told Linode support has been dealing with this all day. Be careful.

My sourdough starter more than doubled (from the top of the tape mark) in about 12 hours, so I’m declaring this new starter as “ready to bake with.” Maybe I’ll try to mix something up this afternoon.

But even after deleting most apps, we still had to spend a lot of time on the basics: How to unlock the phone. How to place a phone call. How to find punctuation on the keyboard. I really wish iOS had an “easy mode” as an accessibility feature to pare the phone back to basics.

My first step was to delete as many apps as I could to leave her with just the basics: phone, texting, camera, maps, & weather. (The Weather app is the killer feature for her, btw. Weather forecasts at her fingertips!)
